Feather Care, Maintenance & Storage
Install: watch our Installation Video for step-by-step instructions on how to install your feather extensions or hair feathers.
Remove: squeeze the micro-link in the opposite direction using pliers from our Feather Extension Tool Kit. When the micro-link opens, grab the feather extension from the tip and slide out.
As your hair naturally grows, the micro-links will no longer be placed on the scalp. You are now ready for Maintenance. This is done by reusing your current feather extensions and moving the micro-link back up to the scalp. This is a very simple process and can be done easily at home using our Feather Extension Tool Kit.
Your Feather Hair Extensions can last 4-6 weeks or longer with maintenance. All of our feather extensions can be washed, brushed, blow-dried, straightened, curled and are pool/lake-friendly. When using heat, use precaution. We recommend using the lowest heat heating on your device or up to 450 degrees.
The feathers blend naturally into your hair and easily be forgotten about. Be aware of the micro-link and placement when washing and brushing. Try not to brush over the micro-link. Be cautious when at the roots and when pulling out a ponytail.
Feathers need to be treated delicately. They may break, just like real hair. Treat with care & avoid petting. This can loosen their bond and cause feathers to fall out.
All Feather Earrings are created to withstand everyday elements. Real rooster feathers are very soft and beg the attention to be petted. It is not recommended to stroke or pet your feather earrings for this can loosen their bond and cause feathers to fall out.
Over time your hair feathers or feather earrings will form to the position they are left or stored in. Remove them from their storage and simply straighten them using a flat iron before use. Those who have been building up their feather collection for some time might need something bigger than our packaging. For the perfect protection box that you can also travel with, we love this storage box.
